THE TAJ MAHAL (তাজমহল)

The Taj Mahal is one of the modern seven wonders of the world. It is named after Mumtaz, the wife of the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan. It is also known as "The Taj". It is located in Agra in India. Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan loved his wife more than himself. After Mumtaz's untimely death, Shah Jahan was devastated. 

So he built this white marble tomb as a token of love for her. It is the place where Mumtaz is sleeping forever. Though it is the finest example of Mughal architecture, it combines the art of Persia, Turkey, and India. Its area is 1003 acres. It took 21 years and thousands of artisans to complete the Taj Mahal.
